A BETTER WAY TO PAINT THE DETAILS ON WALLS  

 

A  DIY  "CUTTING"  TRAY

Here's an idea for how to make detail and trim painting easier and neater.

Plastic water containers, such as this one here, make useful paint trays. First, put the cap on the bottle and mark it like you see here. 

 

Next, cut  out that shape with scissors. You may need to use a pointed knife to start hole to get the scissors in. 

Now, just pour a little paint into this portable paint tray and you are free to take it anywhere: along the floorboards, up on ladders, up and down and all around.

This DIY paint tray is a big improvement over dragging the paint can around, or the roller tray...it has a convenient handle and keeps your hands cleaner too.
